Hi iv just got a b4 legacy and to be honest i dont no much about them. I no you should do your homework before getting a car but it was a sort of last min thing after changing my mind from a celice gt4. So im not 100% sure on what the service intervals should be. And are they ment to use alot of oil compared to normal engines. The car has got a greddy exhaust, hks air filter and it also has been re mapped to run on super unleaded. So i think it is running abot 320 bhp. It would be great if any one could answer any of the questions. cheers

Welcome aboard chap and great choice of car! thumbsup.gif

Yours should have an oil change every 3-4k miles and make sure you run it on the highest octane fuel possible.

I think you have made a great choice over the Celica. With the Toyota, what you see is what you get. With the RS, what you see is then followed by questions of intrigue.

When you say they use a lot of oil, I wouldn't agree with that. They're no w@nkel engine and mine hasn't used any oil since I got it! However, frequent oil changes are not only good practice, they're essential, every 4k or so. Apart from that, and assuming you have some sort of history you have very little to worry about. Mine is totally standard and has done around 50k miles but still feels fresh from the factory - good choice and I'd take a Subaru over a Toyota any day of the week (hubby drives a Yaris so I'm not anti-Toyota!)
